Centuries in the future, the world is flooded and mankind is forced to live in giant underwater cities. Created to be a labor force, animal-like zoans live as a lower class. Valle jumps from job to job, avoiding his brother Crucis, a heartless assassin employed by the oppressive government - until an ultimatum from a rogue freedom fighter forces him them to face each other.
Several hundred years before The Two Fangs, zoans have just been created. Spared from the enslavement they were intended for, they struggle to find their place in the human world. Geir, having left a revolutionary past behind, is drawn back into it when his former partner takes credit for a devastating attack. He dives into the criminal underworld to make his way back and find the truth.

Main Characters
Lu

She/her, pansexual, based on a Philippine eagle
At 6'4, Lu has always towered over everyone she knows. Loud, brash, and energetic, but deeply empathetic and caring, she tries to get the most out of life, picking up hobbies and just doing what she wants whenever possible. Sometimes that's baking, sometimes it's spending six months in a Buddhist retreat, and sometimes it's making a tiktok for freestyle rapping.
She lost both arms in a motorcycle joyriding accident in her teens. It was in her recovery period that she met Neetch, who was under a mental health watch, and their mutual care bloomed into their lifelong relationship.
Neetch

She/her, asexual, based on a northern harrier
Born Inkeri Järvikettunnen Vittikohuhta-Hyrtiäinen (I was 16 when I made these characters), Neetch prefers the nickname she made up in middleschool. She was only a baby when her family left Finland, anyway. Separated early from a rocky home life, she struggled with drugs for years, especially after her psychotic condition came to the forefront. Lu has been her rock since they met in their teens.
After a difficult 20s, her life started to come together. She owns a sandwich shop ("The Lunchbox") that does good enough business, and was also one of the founders of a queer space in her neighborhood. Now financially stable, mostly clean, and a pillar of her community, she focuses on her greatest loves (aside from Lu): bats and b-movies.
She's 5'0". She barely reaches Lu's shoulder.
